What is a Chakra?

The word "Chakra" simply means "wheel" (or even better still "rotating disk") in Sanskrit. You should be aware that there are 7 main Chakras located on a vertical axis that corresponds to that of the backbone.
(In order to better visualise the location of these Chakras in the body, have a look at the diagram I sent you in my previous mail and which I’ve copied on the last page).

A Chakra is an energy centre that is situated in a person’s "etheric aura". You can compare it to a "bubble" of electro-magnetic energy naturally wrapped around the physical body. It is invisible to the naked eye – except for people with the gift of clairvoyance – because strictly speaking it is not physical.

Indeed, the Chakra is “etheric”: it is made up of an ethereal matter, subtler than the matter making up the physical body. We say it is etheric because it vibrates more quickly than the latter at an atomic level. It is for this reason that the Chakras remain invisible.

The Chakras can be compared to transforming and distributing centres for the energy originating in the sky (cosmic forces) and the earth (earth forces). To better understand their fundamental role, you should know that if the human being didn’t have Chakras, if they got the cosmic energy directly without it being “transformed”, they would be instantly “struck down” by the various natural energies that would cut them in two.

The role of the Chakras is therefore only to let in the energy that you are able to absorb. This level of energy is similar to the level of awareness you have: the more your Chakras "open" and leave in cosmic energy, the more you evolve, and the more your awareness increases

…and the more life and luck will smile on you!

In fact, the Chakras transform the various cosmic energies that enter the human body; a little like an electrical transformer that converts a high voltage current (ten thousand volts for example) that runs through high tension lines, into a 220 volt current that can be used by household electrical appliances (television, oven, washing machines, lighting, etc.). Without this transformer these appliances would be “burnt”, pure and simple.

The Chakras then distribute these energies from the cosmos into the physical body through the endocrine glands that then discharge their secretions into the blood.

You could think of the Chakras as "coloured wheels of light”, energy whirlwinds in the shape of a funnel, that turn clockwise. They have "blades" like a fan, or "petals" like a flower; they get their funnel shape from turning. Thanks to the rotation of these wheels, the universal cosmic energy is absorbed towards the interior of the Chakras, and then distributed around the body.

The Chakras thus soak up the vibrations that are in the environment; due to their different functions, these energy centres link the individual to everything that happens around them, in nature and in the universe, in a way playing the role of a sort of “antenna”.

You can look at the Chakras as subtle sensing organs. Our physical body, with its five senses (seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, feeling) is a vehicle adapted to the fundamental laws of our planet. It is thanks to the proper use of these senses that we manage to find our way day in day out.

The Chakras act as receptors for all energy vibrations and for all information floating “above” the physical level: they are as much openings that link us to the unlimited and magic world of more subtle energies embodied by the cosmic forces.

There is something important that you should know. To live in harmony, with yourself, with others and the environment, or in other words to be lucky, benefit from the force, creativity, knowledge and love, your Chakras must be "open" and able to work together harmoniously. Because the more a person’s Chakras are “open” (imagine a flower blossoming), the more this person evolves, and the more energy they have to achieve what they want in life.

On the other hand, someone whose Chakras are "blocked" or "closed", and that don’t work harmoniously, not only do they soak up very little universal cosmic energy, but they build up an excess of negative vibes inside their aura. This build up of “harmful” energies makes them vulnerable to the difficulties of life and progressively leads to all sorts of problems in their lives.

They fall prey to hidden manipulation, bad luck, personal and professional failures. They lack the force to fight it. In most people, the energy centres suffer from disharmonies, which causes suffering and various dysfunctions.

A vicious circle is thus created from which it is difficult to get out. This is even more so when the person isn’t generally aware of the cause of this persistent "adversity”.

You must understand, therefore, that it is essential that your Chakras are "working" harmoniously.
