On nine consecutive nights, wait for the Moon to come up
then sit in contemplation of it with a mirror in your pocket or your hand. On
the ninth night, hold the mirror up to the Moon and entreat the star to reveal
the face of your future husband: « Moon
star, mother of all women, who knows all secrets since the dawn of time, show
me a clear image of the man who will bring me happiness and make me a woman. »
Then, before you go to sleep, tuck the mirror under your pillow.
