The beliefs of the Mayans

With their advanced occult knowledge, the Mayans had succeeded to, in a certain way, take hold and master the cogs of time itself. The priests-astronomers relied on their skills as seers as well as their calendar to, very methodically, set their previsions and prophecies for the regulating of their daily life and future projects.

The Mayans believed, that the astrological birth chart determined from the very beginning a persons life. Following this chart, the god of the moment of birth of the newborn baby was believed to influence the child throughout its life. Some gods were beneficial and others less, and a child born under a "good" god was considered lucky. The child born under the more negative influence of a less beneficial god had to, throughout life, go through very precise  sacred rituals, to attract good luck etc.
