Self-suggestion and creative affirmations

Have you ever been in the middle of a job when you realize that the more you work, the bigger the mess you make of the task? You end up feeling frustrated and stressed, and give up completely. Do you understand what’s really going on?...

When you tackle a task you don’t really want to do, or that you feel is beyond your capabilities, a conflict arises between your conscious and the subconscious. One wants to succeed, the other doesn’t. Which of the two will win?
Your subconscious, every time!

Your subconscious is made up of your hopes and dreams, your fears and your habits. It is moulded by the education you receive from your parents, your teachers and your own experiences and beliefs. It could be compared to a vast computer: when you hit a certain key on the keyboard, the information you receive depends on the software you’re running. Your subconscious works the same way: it makes you react according to the way you’ve been « programmed » and conditioned.

The good news is that you can condition and programme your subconscious mind positively, to make it « work for you ». Yes, you can exploit its amazing natural potential in the service of your personal interests. And the supercomputer that is your brain will docilely run the programme you’ve chosen consciously!

In fact, anything the human mind can conceive, the human mind can make a reality! All you need to do in this case is anchor a positive, constructive mental attitude in your subconscious mind. In other words, develop an outlook that is resolutely turned towards optimism, happiness, luck, success and prosperity.

To achieve this, it’s advisable to avoid certain words that express generalisations or impose limits, such as: always, never, only, perhaps, nothing, everyone, impossible, etc.

The imagination and the emotions (or feelings) are influenced by subconscious psychological mechanisms, in place since our early childhood. Emile Coué, the famous psychologist, observed that where conflict exists between our will and our emotions, it is our emotions that win, every time. He went on to create a method based on positive self-suggestion, consisting in repeating a single affirmation – for example: Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better.

Repeated frequently, with faith and conviction, these words, charged with positive energy, penetrate the subconscious mind and force it to « react ». This is how it’s possible to reprogram your subconscious mind: this will create a favourable environment for the achievement of your goals. Gradually, lucky situations and opportunities will manifest themselves in your life.

You can improve your self-confidence by using healthy, positive affirmations. Likewise, you can reject any suggestion that is negative or that might undermine your plans. There is no limit to what you can achieve using this method; positive self-suggestion really can help you attain physical and mental health and success in all areas.
