The road to happiness

In life, you find people who are brimming with health, happiness and success on the one side, and those who are crushed by health problems, money problems, and loneliness on the other… Everything seems to go right for the first group: they are obviously “programmed” to be happy and successful, whatever they take on, whereas those in the second group are “programmed” to be miserable failures!
Whose fault is this?
Why is it that some people seem to be natural “winners” while others are “born losers”?
Is this really an inevitable fact of life?
NO! It is NOT inevitable. And YES, it’s always possible to change sides and become a winner instead of a loser! And I should add that if you’re not careful you can easily go the other way, and find yourself relegated from the winning side to the losing side!
Being “programmed” for happiness and success is above all a state of mind. This state of mind is induced by Positive Thinking. Positive Thinking is the trump card of people who win in life.
You may quite justifiably argue that you are not well and therefore incapable of doing anything very positive! And I grant you that we are not always responsible for our physical ailments because these often pounce on us without warning. Nevertheless, it can’t be denied that diseases find it easier to take hold in pessimistic subjects. Doctors are well aware of this: the same illness will have greater or less serious effects on different patients, depending on their morale.
That’s why it’s so important to face all the stresses and strains of everyday life with a firmly optimistic outlook. My first lesson will therefore reveal how to keep your spirits up, i.e. keep thinking positively no matter what life throws at you. Positive Thinking is an infallible technique, which will help you to feel good, both physically and mentally.
Positive Thinking must lead to Positive Action, otherwise it will be fruitless. My second lesson will reveal how to make your actions successful. Some initiatives are doomed from the start whereas others, which have been carefully planned and executed, are bound to turn out well. The surest way to become a winner is to understand why you fail and how to succeed!
So where does Luck fit into all this? Good and bad luck certainly exist, but you are not a helpless victim of adversity! So, my third lesson will teach you how to attract Lady Luck and make her smile on you.
