charms are used a lot in love spells. They may be
formula in verse or in prose that has the power to change nature’s order. A
spell is the action of speaking this formula. You don’t have to speak the words
out loud, you can also write them down on some other item, which will itself
then become a charm. There are also charms that come in the form of jewels and
pentacles. If you want the action of a charm to cease, you have to use a
remedy, which must equally be supernatural. These are called counter-charms.
