• WEDNESDAY, setting out:

before setting out on a journey, make sure that there won’t be any problems… The ash tree is well known for overcoming danger and protecting travellers. Put a leaf in each of your bags and another in your pocket before you leave. Similarly, if you are going to go on a boat and are afraid of the water, wear a piece of ash wood around your neck to protect you from drowning. Throughout history, the ash tree has been seen as a good tree that symbolises strength and solidity. Greek myths say that Achilles’ javelin and Cupid’s bow were both made from ash.
