• THURSDAY, the New Moon:

the 28 day lunar cycle has two parts. The waxing Moon that starts with the New Moon – or Black Moon – passes through the first Quarter Moon and ends with the Full Moon – the culmination of the lunar cycle. The waning Moon starts after the Full Moon, asses through the second Quarter Moon and ends with the New Moon. Tradition that rests on minute observation of nature says that we should build during the waxing Moon and destroy during the waning Moon. This is one of the great rules of magic. The New Moon is the meeting point of the two parts of the cycle. It is 3-4 days when the Moon is invisible on the sky. And it can be the starting point of an occult action, as it marks the beginning of a cycle of renewal. Make the most of it by starting a prosperity ritual, for example by starting a diet and sporting activity at this ideal time.
