this ritual revives the
passion in a loved one whose ardour has cooled as the years have passed and
routine has set in. Pick a nice rennet apple before sunrise, or buy one at the
supermarket or from a farm shop, as early as possible in the morning. Then, wash
the apple in cold water and prepare it by sticking two pins in it to form a
cross (i.e. at 90 degrees). Then, speak these magical words, out loud and with
conviction: « May Asmodeus cross the
heart of the one I love! » Finally, bury the apple
at the foot of any tree other than a conifer (an oak would be ideal).
