place an item your jewellery (not
a watch!) in a glass of water on the last Friday before the full moon. On the
first evening after the full moon, stir the water three times with your finger,
in a clockwise direction. Take up the cup in your hands and walk about the room
three times, again in a clockwise direction. Then raise up the cup and speak
these words: « O light of the Moon,
envelope and protect me, night and day. » Then drink the water,
removing the piece of jewellery from the cup. Put it on and keep it on until
the next full moon, and you’re protection will be guaranteed. Repeat this
ritual every month to prolong its effectiveness.
