From this
very evening you are going to carry out a small mental exercise, at the time of
your choice, but if possible at the same time every day, whatever other
obligations you may have. You are going to arrange things so that you can stay
quiet without being disturbed for 10 to 15 minutes. This seemingly
insignificant rule is in fact crucial for activating your inner creative
energies, which are going to help you make your wishes come true, with maximum
effectiveness.
This is the
technique I would like you to use:
Once a day
at the time you have carefully selected to do this exercise in peace and quiet,
go and sit down and relax. Your legs should not touch one another and your
hands should be placed flat halfway down your thighs.
Think of
nothing, make your mind “empty”.
To start
with, think of nothing for 5 to 10 seconds. By then it is very likely your
thoughts will get the upper hand. Repeat the exercise and try to hold out for
10 to 20 seconds. After a certain time you will be able to make your mind empty
for at least one minute. That length of time is enough for you to able to apply
my secret effectively.
Throughout
this time, breathe in and out slowly and deeply. As you breathe out, think that
the air expelled is driving out your nervous and muscular tensions.
Think: “I am
driving out my worries, my fears, my tensions.”
Each time
you breathe in, think that the air you inhale is bringing you strength, calm
and energy.
Think: “I am
breathing in calm, strength and energy.” Let yourself breathe. Be aware only of
your breathing.
