- Get into the habit of airing your house
or apartment each morning. Stand at your window for a minute or two, breathing
evenly and trying to identify the early morning smells. Do the same in the
evening and breathe in the scents and smells of the night air. Walk in the
woods and try to identify the smells, do the same at the seaside and … in the
city!
-
Each
room has its own specific smell, have you identified these?
Having a good sense of smell is the
equivalent of having a “good nose”! To be intuitive, you have to follow you
nose. When you meet someone for the first time, what do you feel: sympathy,
antipathy, mixed feelings? Allow yourself to experience these feelings and make
a mental note of them. Later, the behaviour or attitudes of this person will
explain these instinctive feelings.
The best advice I can give you for
sharpening your senses is to learn how to take your time. Avoid hurrying; being
in a hurry is the best way of not noticing what you meet on the way! Always
listen to your inner voice; and always pay attention to the slightest details,
gestures, movements and situations. Intuition only works properly when you know
how to observe.
Now I want to speak about a very important aspect: FORGIVENESS.
¨ You
are intuitive when you are open to yourself and to others, to the world and
everything in it.
¨ If
you close yourself to these things, you cut off your intuition, limit yourself
and turn in on yourself.
Harbouring bitterness, resentment and even
hatred or ideas of revenge towards another person has prejudicial consequences
for your physical and mental state. These negative feelings become embedded in
the mind which gets "stuck" and is no longer able to be constructive.
In this instance, forgiving yourself and
others is the only way to free yourself. Forgiving means freeing yourself from
your past and turning towards the construction of your future.
Forgiveness makes room for intuition
