Secret rural magic is perennial and have been so since generations, it's not like the cabalistic magic used by the powerful leaders of the world, it’s often a substitute for medicine, like shamanism, with a large knowledge of nature using prayers, rituals, herbs etc. often ridiculed and criticized but nevertheless still transmitted.
