Back to the art of invoking...

The magic circle is very important. It serves to call and hold all forms of energy from the "invisible world" ie the angels, the spirits as well as the elementals, during the time of the invoking. At the same time, the circle protects the magician, from the influence of all the different types of forces he is manipulating. When the circle is drawn in accordance with the appropriate ritual, it is a means of absolute protection.

 The circle within which you stand during the time of invoking, is the symbolical representation of the intermediate universe in which the called entity and yourself will communicate. It is a world apart, a particular space-time with its own rules and language: the invoking. Although symbolic, this representation is no less tangible and quite effective.

place an item your jewellery (not a watch!) in a glass of water on the last Friday before the full moon. On the first evening after the full moon, stir the water three times with your finger, in a clockwise direction. Take up the cup in your hands and walk about the room three times, again in a clockwise direction. Then raise up the cup and speak these words: « O light of the Moon, envelope and protect me, night and day. » Then drink the water, removing the piece of jewellery from the cup. Put it on and keep it on until the next full moon, and you’re protection will be guaranteed. Repeat this ritual every month to prolong its effectiveness.

• THURSDAY, find a solution:

one evening, when the Moon is full, form a circle with your thumb and the index finger of your dominant hand while holding the other to your heart. Raise your arm until you can see the Moon through the circle formed by your fingers and speak the following words in a low voice: « Wonderful Moon, round Moon, full Moon, appearing before me, Beautiful Lady of the heavens, light up my path, let me glimpse into the future and therein the best solution. » Say these words three times over, all the while looking at the Moon, then be filled with confident expectation. The answer will come swiftly, in a dream, or when you wake the following morning.

• WEDNESDAY, a positive affirmation:

stop saying: « It’ll be my fault again… », and start saying: « I did what was best! » Action is a form of courage. You won’t always succeed and you won’t always be right, but at least you’ll have tried! Don’t worry about the consequences of your actions, and don’t let others criticise them either. Instead, analyse and discover what you have learned from them.…

• TUESDAY, love your hair:

a secret well-known to women raised in the country is that if you want to make your hair grow faster, you cut it at daybreak on the first day of the new moon, or on a waxing moon. You can also soak a handful of lupin blossoms in water for an hour, then strain and mix with an equal quantity of agricultural rum. Then, every morning, rub this lotion into your scalp. This recipe is also highly effective using watercress in place of lupin.

set out a red candle, some Nazareth incense, 2 cups of lemon juice, 3 bay leaves, 3 pinches of pine needles, a few drops of vinegar and 1 litre of boiling water. Light the candle and the incense. Tip the ingredients into a bowl and add the water. Leave the mixture to infuse for 15 minutes then strain it and leave it to cool to room temperature, then run yourself a bath and pour the concoction in. Lie back and relax in the water for a few minutes and then say the following words three times over: « This liquid purifies me, I feel lighter, I feel free. May it be so! » Stay in the bath a little longer, feeling how this new-found well-being gives you a sensation of lightness, then get out of the bath and take a shower, to wash away the last remnants of your depression.

Then, dab a little of this oily paste onto your forehead, between your eyes and speak the following words: « Fatigue, always present and never seen, I command you to leave. The ceremonial robe

The robe serves as a screen, protecting the magician from the outside world, unlike soiled clothing, from common usage, which are a constant reminder of the world that must be abstracted from before entering the world of magic. The clothes do never leave the magicians occultum or cabinet, in which he keeps his instruments, and should not be "polluted" by the outside world.
In fact, while putting on his robe, he have sewn in a white linen cloth, the wizard creates a microcosm, a "bubble" a sort of realm 'in between" the human world and the world of higher entities, within which he have the ability to communicate with them. The five-pointed star, the pentagram, and the six-pointed star, hexagram, embroidered or drawn on the front and back of the robe, symbolize the active and the passive principle, two worlds coming together and between which a flow can take place.
The robe also shows the dispositions of the magician: the colour of the robe, white for what concerns us, is an indication in itself, of the energy he will activate. The consecration of the robe is done each usage.

Consecration of the planetary oil

The traditional list include plants that cannot be obtained today. So those  proposed here has been re actualised. These species can easily be found in specialized shops.
Before you use the specific oil that matches your sign, you should say the following prayer , with your right hand over the bottle, which will devote it.

The planetary essential oils

The following oils are in correspondence with the astrological signs. Mixed with the bath water before your ceremony, to cleanse the miasma from the outside world before entering the magical world of the invocation, they'll add a personal element to the act.
These oils are obtained by mixing a few drops of the following essences with a small amount of extra virgin olive oil:

Aries: sandalwood
Taurus: chamomile
Gemini: orange
Cancer: lavender
Lion: marjoram
Virgin: ylang-ylang
Balance: savory
Scorpio: patchouli
Sagittarius: laurel
Capricorn: pine
Aquarius: birch
Pisces: myrtle

The usual material for invoking

Whatever invocation you are going to implement, it will run in the same manner, its effectiveness lies in a set of ritualized words and gestures developed over time.
We are now going into the part that describes the different steps of the ceremony that you can reproduce, starting with the preparations.

Usual objects and products for the magical procedure

The following products are necessary for the ritual of the invocation. All of them can be purchased in special stores or can be made by yourself:

* planetary oils
* the ceremonial dress
* the circle and the triangle for the apparition
* the sword and the wand
* a censer
* incense of the day
* perfumes of the day
* three candlesticks and three candles for the circle
* a candle for the triangle of apparition
* a bowl for the fire sacrifice
* a mortar and pestle to blend herbal incense with scents/perfumes
* a small bottle of holy water
* two candlesticks and two white candles for the altar
* another bowl
* the magic book containing texts and invocations

We will develop each of these elements and in the order of use, how to consecrate it and which texts to recite, so that you can succeed your own invocations, from start to finish.

Continuing the previous example...

suppose that you want to climb the echelons within your firm. Your action would then be to:
 
* positively charge your letter, requesting an interview with the Human Resources Department,
 
* cause a  beneficial pulse in your favour, the day and time of the interview;
 
* influence your contact, turning him/her favourable to you,
 
* visualising yourself  in the position that you are aiming for.
 
The mistake would be to do the invoking too directly without having previously gone through the events that will inevitably occur.

There is no typical path. For each application, you must build a logical plan of action that will enable you to reach your goal without burning any steps, to the contrary, encouraging each and every one of them.
 
You've understood what I mean when I say that invocation is not a prayer "in the air", a catchphrase. It must be carefully thought out and formulated following precise rules, at the day and time best suited for its realization.
It is only when all these steps have been completed that you will begin to prepare the materials for the invocation.

Visualising the goal to achieve before invoking

The art of magic requires imagination! One cannot engage in an invocation without 'fantasying " about the goal you want to achieve. You cannot just verbalize any unrealistic or illogical demand, it would be doomed to failure! For example, if you are an engineer in a large company and if you wish to climb the echelons, you can probably imagine to become the head of the department, but it wouldn't be be reasonable to immediately expect to become the CEO? ...
So, it is essential that your goal has a certain logic. To be perfectly effective, it must follow a simple and clear path, that corresponds to the reality of your life. This means that the goal must be very precise.

The astrological birth chart and invoking
