Making the Homeless smile, a movement to spread :)

• SATURDAY, words for the weekend:

« I always have time to say something kind to the people I meet, to pat my dog, to enjoy just relaxing…to appreciate my life! » Write these words in red ink on a sheet of white paper and keep it on you all weekend. Whenever you get an opportunity, take a few moments to imagine yourself in a life situation to which these words might apply. On Sunday evening, burn the paper, after reading it one last time.

• FRIDAY, find your soul-mate:

get 7 red candles, a white rose, a red apple, a piece of rose quartz, a photo of yourself and a little red pouch. Sit down with these things in front of you, in view of the crescent moon.  Light the candles. Eat the apple while conjuring up in your mind a detailed (and realistic) picture of the person you want to meet. Keep 7 of the pips of the apple. Cut out your image from the photo in the shape of a heart. Take the rose and pick its petals one by one, describing out loud one characteristic of the person you seek with each one. Put the pips, the quartz, the photo and the petals into the pouch and close it completely. Hold it against your heart and say: « The face of the one I love will soon be revealed to me, even though I may not learn their name tonight. I will finally meet my soul-mate. Come to me, love of mine, you are my destiny, may it be so! » Hide the pouch away and slip the pouch into your pocket every Friday.

• THURSDAY, take care of your hair:

if your hair’s looking a bit dry and damaged, or lacking in vitality, the Moon can give it back its shine and vigour. This is a good time to book in for a haircut and to apply a conditioning treatment, such as neutral silicone gel.

• WEDNESDAY, a positive affirmation:

stop saying things like: « I don’t get involved in what others are doing… », and instead say: « If I can do something to help out someone who needs it, then I will. » Refusing to help other people is actually like cutting yourself out of the flow of life. It also means you may find yourself alone when you need a favour, because no one is going to offer to assist you if you’ve turned them down in the past. It’s not about interfering, just being there for your friends, when they need you, and enriching your own life in the process.

• TUESDAY: think ahead to the winter:

if you have a garden, you might start thinking about sowing seeds for root vegetables this Tuesday, such as winter turnips which will remain in the earth until they are ready for harvest, protected from the first frost by some mulch. Keep the earth cool and moist to ensure they flourish.
